Walled Lake Central is excited to announce that Mark Meszler will be our new Girls Varsity Volleyball Head Coach.

Please join us for a Meet and Greet on February 12, 2025, at 2:45 PM in the Media Center. This event is optional and open to all 9-12th grade athletes.

Coach Mark graduated from Our Lady of the Lakes in 1988. Athletics has always been an important part of his life, and he played multiple sports during high school and at Michigan Technological University. He believes playing a team sport builds character, instills responsibility, and teaches valuable life lessons. Watching players learn and grow with the sport drives his love of coaching.

Coach Mark is married to Colleen and has two daughters, Madison and Sydnie. Mark’s love for volleyball and passion for coaching evolved from his daughters playing the sport since fifth Grade. Both competed as four-year starting Setters in high school.

Coach Mark is the Director and Elite Coach at CHAOS VOLLEYBALL, a local travel club he and his wife began in 2007. He has coached U10-U18 at all levels and Middle School and High School teams. He is skilled in moving teams forward while appreciating the diverse contributions of individual players.

Coach Mark is eager to get started as the Walled Lake Central Girls Varsity Volleyball Head Coach, and his goal is to build a successful and long-lasting program while maintaining the traditions of the Walled Lake Central Girls Volleyball Program. Coach Mark intends to be involved with the program at all levels (7th and 8th Grade, Freshman, JV) along with the Walled Lake Community Education Spiker’s Volleyball Program.

Coach Mark stated “I have been truly impressed with everyone I have met. Everyone seems to strongly commit to building a respected and successful program at all levels. I look forward to meeting the Coaches, Athletes, Parents, Volleyball Boosters, and all Walled Lake Central Girls Volleyball program supporters. This season promises to be full of change, fun, excitement, and, most importantly, significant growth and success. I hope all Walled Lake Central Girls Volleyball Athletes are ready to rise to the challenge and meet the high expectations set for the program. You will not want to miss CENTRAL’S 2025/2026 VOLLEYBALL SEASON!”
